Star Cruise Superstar Virgo

28 Oct

It has been 15 years since our last vacation on a Star Cruise. While I still hold vivid memories of the excitement of boarding the Gemini (probably that is because Gemini happens to be my horoscope too) for this first time in my life, and though I knew we had fun throughout the sail to Tioman, the little details of the trip have become vague and eventually faded along with age.

Time passed and we are always looking forward to an opportunity to reminisce the experience once again so we really would have Star Cruise to thank for for giving us this 2 night cruise on Superstar Virgo to Malacca/KL.

While some people may think that cruises are for the gamblers to their luck in the casino and not much else for the rest to do on the high sea, how wrong they are! In fact with the back-to-back programmes being lined up for everyone for the entire day, it is hard to find even single second going idle. There are simply too much to do yet too little time to accomplish all and I just hate missing out some of the fun.

Nonetheless, we enjoyed every moment on the sail. We have experienced a magnificent sunrise on the high sea and we have a soaking good time in the Jacuzzi pool while getting to know the other cruisers from various parts of the world. We played Bingo, have good feasts and went crazy over the Choco-party where every item on the buffet line is made of Chocolates! We have even made sure to keep ourselves fit by exercising at the gym and relaxed with a session of Yoga with the hunky instructor and had found time for some quiet moments at the library.

Maxims Genting

30 Jul

Thanks to  Wotif.com, we have revisited Genting Highland again and spent two wonderful nights at the luxurious Maxims Genting

To be honest, the most posh hotel that I’ve ever stayed in was Hilton Resort in Sanya, China but even then, my room there wasn’t just as HUGE!

Spaciousness aside, I simply love the suite’s contemporary design with the clever use of glass that creates space and reflects light.

Stylishly equipped with the best stuff, there’s a pillow selection, 42” Plasma TV with home theatre system and another 15” LCD TV inside the bathroom, the luxury of walk-in wardrobe and did I mention that there’s a study section that’s fully equipped with a PC with high-speed internet connection and a printer too? Being an 0nline-addict, that’s undoubtedly my favorite part of the room ^_^
