Sakae Sushi

7 Sep

We have wanted to start off the week with a good meal and thought Sakae Sushi would be a good choice but our lunch turned out to be a huge disappointment.

Apart from the-so-welcomed service received from the staff, the Beef Ramen that I have ordered arrived on our table lukewarm and far too oily that it should be. The Enno Gozen looked great, the beef was thinly sliced and the accompany side dishes were marvelous. However, the server has apparently forgotten to heat up the hotplate before serving and as a result, the soup in the hotplate could not bring to boil and the vegetables remained raw even when we have finished the rest of the food on the table.

When we alerted one of the staff, she was kind to offer bring the hotplate back into the kitchen for a re-heat but even then, the hotplate still could not get hot enough to cook the beef slices. In the end, it took 3 changes of the stove before we could finally eat the beef and vegetables of the hotplate, half-done.

Anyway, we weren’t the only ones having issues as the diner seating in front of our table has faced same issue only that she needed a little argument with the server before this lady (whom has ushered us and took our orders) agreed to bring her hotplate back into the kitchen for re-heating.

We don’t expect an apology but I couldn’t say that I don’t mind at all, and perhaps a little smile or a little thank you, goodbye greeting may make us return again but that is exactly what this outlet is lacking – service.
