Mentholatum Organic Lip Balm

29 May

There are two things that many of our office secretaries have on their desks: hand cream and lip balm. While I often joke that they should be presented with a ‘most hard working’ award for their devotion and frequency of applying and reapplying their hand cream and lip balm so ever often, I have to admit that their efforts and perseverance to protect their perfectly manicured hands and luscious pouts are pretty much admirable. If only I could be half as hard working…

Anyway, I may be lazier in terms of the reapplication frequencies; I am still very much a lip balm person, particularly because my lips tend to get dry and chap easily. Besides giving my lippies protection and a little pampering that the petals deserved, I use lip balm to double up as primer for my lip makeup as it could fills up the lines and helps my lipstick to adhere better and stay on smoothly. Plus, the fruity flavor that comes along with many the lip balms (pssst..Mentholatum Lipice has the best lot) is a perky bonus that I welcome with both top and bottom of my lips..muack!

While talking about lip balms, we all know that Mentholatum Lip Care is the NUMBER 1 lip care brand in Japan but do you know that they have just launched a new Organic Lip Balm range with the Highest Eco-Cert accreditation? Is that important? Sure it is. Because we are literally ‘eating’ what we apply on our lips! So isn’t the idea of what we are putting on our lips is blended with natural organic ingredients and free from pesticides, chemical fertilizers, synthetic chemical inputs and genetically modified organisms very reassuring?

Available in Lavender & Orange or Raspberry & Strawberry flavor, these Mentholatum Organic Lip Balms are formulated with:

  • Double-Action protection for a flawless soothing sensation –
    • Organic moisturizing ingredients & Vitamin E for smooth, moist and supple lips all day long
  • Organic Certification
    • Ingredients free form pesticides, chemical fertilizers, synthetic chemical inputs and genetically modified organisms
    • Manufacturing process insures compliance to the standard set by the organic certifying agency
    • Packaging materials used are recyclable and biodegradable
  • A lipbalm enriched with natural organic essences
    • Made from blends of imported organic ingredient from renowned organic farms including Olive Oil, Shea butter, Jojoba Oil and Beeswax to give your lips a sheer natural nourishment

Having tried out both the flavors that offer the same benefits and keep my cracking lips deeply nourished and moisturized, I had a hard time wrestling on which flavor should top my list because both are equally as perky and refreshing. Like the rest of the Mentholatum Lip Care products, I like how the creamy texture of the Organic Lip Balm could glides on smoothly onto my lips to keep them velvety soft without any sticky after feel.
